Citations
Springer Science + Business Media will index all papers of the congress proceedings at SpringerLink, ISI proceedings, Google, etc. Furthermore inquiries have been made for INSPEC, Scopus (service by Elsevier), Medline, Pubmed.
Congress proceedings
After the acceptance the final papers will be published in the IFMBE proceedings series by Springer Science + Business Media complete with ISSN reference. Proceedings of the congress on CD/DVD will be available when the World Congress 2009 opens.
Congress registration policy
According to the congress registration policy, each accepted WC2009 paper must have at least one registration attached to it before June 2, 2009 in order to be included in the congress proceedings.
Copyright
Authors must accept the copyright conditions which will be given on the Congress Website.
Credit points
The accreditation of the WC2009 as a continuing medical physics education activity of CAMPEP, EFOMP a.o. is pending.
General Policies and Requirements for the submission of Papers
All papers must be original work. Presenting authors will be required to register for the congress by June 2, 2009Â in order for their paper to be included in the proceedings (see deadline below). All papers will be peer reviewed by the Scientific Committee, which reserves the right to accept and reject abstracts for inclusion in the program. Track Chairs will communicate with authors regarding minor changes. Papers will be grouped by tracks and topics. Please indicate the track most suitable to your abstract. Please note this does not guarantee that your abstract will be grouped within this track in the final program.
Only the presenting author’s details will appear in the printed Scientific Program. However, the paper title, author list and affiliations will be published as submitted on the CD-ROM.
Instructions
Authors will be required to use a template document for the development of their paper.
Please print a copy of the Paper Submission Form for your records prior to clicking the submit button. Do not resubmit your paper for any reason other than a submission error. As per the instructions above, if you do not receive a confirmation e-mail with your access key please contact the congress organizer. Once your paper has been submitted, it is final. Only changes recommended by the Track Chairs are allowed.
The congress organizer will not be responsible for paper submissions not received via the Congress Website or for submission errors caused by internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or natural disasters. It will be the responsibility of the submitting author to ensure that the paper is supplied in full. The Paper Submission System requires and accepts PDF format only. Papers on diskettes/CD-ROM will not be accepted.
Paper acceptance notification will be sent to corresponding authors by May 25, 2009 together with instructions for presentation as a poster and/or oral communication.
Oral presentation or poster
Submitting authors have the option of choosing their presentation preference: oral or poster, but the Scientific Committee will make the final decision.
Paper Content
The purpose of the paper is to define the precise subject of the presentation to an audience.
The results of the study must be included in the paper. It is insatisfactory to state that the results will be presented or discussed: These papers will be subject to rejection.
It is the responsibility of the presenting author to ensure the accuracy of contents, spelling and presentation, since papers accepted will be published exactly as submitted.
Paper Submission procedure
Papers of min. 2 and max. 4 pages are to be submitted via the Congress Website. Authors whose papers have been accepted will have the possibility to refine their papers for publishing in the congress proceedings.

Peer review process
Contributions will be peer reviewed and either presented as a poster or an oral paper within the scientific program.
